Academic Conference

"Advancing Southeast Asian Studies through ASEAN–Korea Academic Collaboration"

The 2026 ASEAN–Korea Academic Conference is designed as a flagship scholarly forum under the AKPGM (ASEAN–Korea Platform for Great Minds) initiative. The conference aims to bring together scholars from ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea to reflect on the state of Southeast Asian Studies, promote cross-regional knowledge production, and foster sustainable academic partnerships. By providing space for both senior scholars and emerging researchers, the conference seeks to strengthen regional expertise and cultivate future Southeast Asianists who can contribute to ASEAN community-building and ASEAN–Korea cooperation.
