The seminar marked the culmination of the apprenticeship program, which was designed to strengthen the research capacity of Indonesian students and early-career researchers through an interdisciplinary academic forum and knowledge exchange on Indonesia–Korea social and humanities issues. Prior to the seminar, the apprentices had participated in a series of program activities, including a Call for Papers, Workshops and Roundtable Discussions, and a Study Trip.

Held on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, the seminar featured research presentations, open discussions, and academic feedback sessions involving scholars from diverse fields. “This Research Seminar provides an important space for apprentices to present their research progress openly and to receive critical feedback from academics across disciplines. Through this forum, KIC FISIP UI hopes to strengthen research quality while also building the confidence of young researchers to contribute to Indonesia–Korea academic discourse,” said Intan.

The presentation sessions featured ten researchers from various fields, including cross-cultural studies on eco-anxiety, policy–advertising ecosystems for gender equality, Korea’s digital soft power in Indonesian e-commerce, the localization of Saemaul Undong norms, and the dynamics of AI-based music copyright in Korea and Indonesia.
